About this calculator
Roblox takes a 30% marketplace fee, so a creator keeps 70% of every sale. Enter a price to see what you receive, or a target to see the price you need, including Game Pass pricing.
The formula
Every mode of this calculator uses one rule: the creator keeps 70% of the sale price, rounded down to whole Robux, and the platform takes the rest.
- After tax: earnings =
floor(price × 0.70); fee =price − earnings. - Before tax: required price is the smallest whole number where
floor(price × 0.70)reaches your target. - Game Pass: identical to Before tax; the result is the minimum pass price for your target earnings.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Roblox take in tax?
Roblox takes a 30% marketplace fee on the sale price of items and Game Passes. The creator keeps the remaining 70% as Robux.
How do I calculate Robux after tax?
Multiply the sale price by 0.7 and round down. For example, a 1,000 Robux sale returns 700 Robux, with 300 Robux taken as the fee.
How do I price an item to receive a specific amount of Robux?
Use Before Tax mode: enter the Robux you want to receive and the calculator returns the minimum sale price. To net 700 Robux at the 30% fee, price the item at 1,000 Robux.
Does the 30% fee apply to Game Passes?
Yes. Game Passes use the same 30% marketplace fee, so the Game Pass mode uses identical math. It just frames the result as a minimum pass price for your target earnings.
Why does the fee sometimes look like slightly more than 30%?
Roblox pays creators whole Robux and rounds the creator's share down, so any fractional Robux falls into the fee. On small sales this can make the effective fee a touch above 30%.
Can I change the fee percentage?
Yes. Open Advanced settings to enter a custom fee percentage, useful for modelling hypothetical splits. The standard Roblox fee remains 30%.
