How to price a Roblox Game Pass
Set a Game Pass price that lands the earnings you want after Roblox's 30% fee, no guesswork.
Start from the payout, not the price
Most creators pick a price first and are surprised by what lands in their balance. Flip it around: decide how much Robux you want to earn per sale, then solve for the price. Game Passes use the same 30% marketplace fee as everything else, so the creator keeps 70% of the pass price.
The pricing rule
To earn a target number of Robux, take ceil(target ÷ 0.70): divide by 0.70 and round up to the next whole Robux. Rounding up guarantees the floored 70% share reaches your target.
Worked pricing table
| You want to earn | Price the pass at | Roblox fee |
|---|---|---|
| 70 R$ | 100 R$ | 30 R$ |
| 350 R$ | 500 R$ | 150 R$ |
| 700 R$ | 1,000 R$ | 300 R$ |
| 1,000 R$ | 1,429 R$ | 429 R$ |
Practical tips
- Round to a friendly display price if you can: buyers respond to clean numbers, and a few extra Robux of earnings rarely hurts.
- Remember the fee is on the pass price, not on your target. A 100 Robux pass earns you 70, not 100.
- Reprice deliberately during sales: a discounted pass still loses 30% to the fee, so model the discounted earnings before you commit.
